1) Pruszcz Gdański and around: where we drive

Pruszcz Gdański is a county town that has effectively become part of the Gdańsk metro area. The Radunia river runs through the centre, and large estates of houses and apartment blocks have grown around the old town in recent years. On top of that there are the villages of the surrounding municipality, which many people simply call "Pruszcz" even though they lie outside the town itself. For a transfer the exact address matters, so here is where we usually drive.

Town centre and estates

The area around the railway station, Grunwaldzka street and the Radunia, plus the new estates on the edge of town. The fixed price from 150 PLN per car applies here. We stop at your door.

Straszyn, Rotmanka, Juszkowo

Fast-growing villages west and north of the town, mostly family houses. Some of these estates are actually closer to the airport than Pruszcz itself. We confirm the price when you book.

Rusocin, Borkowo, Cieplewo

The area around the road junctions to the south, where logistics parks, warehouses and factories sit next to housing. Many rides in this direction are business trips.

Further south

If you are heading further, towards Tczew, Starogard or Malbork, the road runs through the same area. Those destinations have their own fixed prices on the price list.

One practical tip: on the new estates, sat navs do not always know freshly named streets. If you live on a new street, add a landmark in the booking notes or ask the driver to call before arrival. It saves a few minutes of circling the estate.

2) Route from the airport and travel time

Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport with a name sign and helps with your luggage. From the terminal we join the Tricity ring road and head south. That way we skip central Gdańsk and its traffic lights, and turn off towards Pruszcz at the junctions on the southern edge of the city.

  • ✓ Airport to the ring road: a few minutes from the terminal to the Tricity ring road.
  • ✓ Ring road south: the main part of the route, an expressway with no level crossings.
  • ✓ Exit and local streets: the last few kilometres through Pruszcz or the municipality roads, depending on your address.

In total it is about 22 km. In the evening, at night and at weekends the drive usually takes 25 to 30 minutes. On weekdays expect a morning and an afternoon peak: the ring road near the southern Gdańsk junctions can slow down, and there is local traffic in Pruszcz itself. The drive can then take a dozen or so minutes longer. It makes no difference to what you pay, because the price is agreed in advance.

Why neither traffic nor a late landing changes the price is explained in does the price change in traffic or at night. Route details with a booking form are on the page Gdańsk Airport to Pruszcz Gdański.

3) Transfer price and what is included

A transfer from Gdańsk Airport to Pruszcz Gdański costs from 150 PLN for the whole car with up to 3 passengers, roughly 38 EUR. We set the price when you book and confirm it by text or email before the ride. There is no meter, so neither a morning jam nor a landing after midnight changes the final amount. For comparison, a few nearby destinations from the price list:

From Gdańsk Airport to Price per car
Gdańsk city centre from 130 PLN
Sopot from 140 PLN
Pruszcz Gdański from 150 PLN
Gdynia from 160 PLN
Tczew from 250 PLN

Included in the price:

  • ✓Pickup in the arrivals hall with a name sign and help with luggage.
  • ✓Flight tracking and 60 minutes of waiting from the actual landing.
  • ✓Checked and cabin luggage, including a pushchair or a bag of equipment.
  • ✓Drop-off at your address, not at a station or bus stop.
  • ✓No surcharge for nights, weekends, holidays or traffic.

Optional extras are a child seat, infant carrier or booster (+30 PLN each), an extra stop on the way (+30 PLN) and 50 PLN from the fourth passenger; one car or van takes up to 8 people. After the first free hour of waiting we charge 1 PLN per extra minute, although with flight tracking this rarely happens. With three passengers it works out at about 50 PLN each, luggage and door-to-door included. All destinations are on our transfer prices page. Travelling with a small child? Read child seats in an airport transfer.

4) Business guests and staff

There are plenty of logistics, manufacturing and warehouse companies around Pruszcz Gdański. Many of our rides on this route are pickups for guests, partners and staff who fly in early for a meeting or a shift. Three things matter here: punctuality, a clear price and a proper document for the accounts.

  • ✓ Booking for a guest: you book the transfer in the traveller's name, and the confirmation goes to both of you.
  • ✓ Flight tracking: if the plane is late, the driver still waits; you do not need to rearrange anything.
  • ✓ VAT invoice: give your tax number (NIP) when booking and we issue the invoice after the ride.
  • ✓ Regular cooperation: for recurring rides we agree individual terms and monthly invoicing.

Larger groups of staff, for example during crew rotations, travel in cars for up to 8 people or in several cars at once. See crew change transport for how this works, and airport transfer with a VAT invoice for invoicing.

5) Train, bus or transfer

There is no direct public transport from the airport to Pruszcz Gdański. It usually means the train from the airport to Gdańsk Wrzeszcz, a change to a regional train towards Tczew and getting off at Pruszcz Gdański station, then walking or taking another ride to your address. You can also take city buses with a change in Gdańsk.

Option Pros Cons
Train with a change Cheapest for one person with light luggage. Change at Wrzeszcz, waiting for the connection, fewer trains in the evening and at night, a station instead of your address.
Buses City transport fare. Long ride across the city, changes with suitcases, rush hour jams.
Taxi from the rank No booking needed. Metered fare unknown in advance, goes up in ring road traffic.
Transfer From arrivals to your door, fixed price per car, any time of day or night. More expensive than a ticket for one person.

Simple maths: travelling alone with a backpack in the middle of the day, the train with a change will do. For a family with suitcases, a late arrival, or a business guest who must be on site at a set time, one car from 150 PLN usually wins: instead of a change and a search for the address you get one ride to the door. How a fixed price differs from a meter is explained in what a fixed-price transfer means, and late arrivals in night transfers from Gdańsk Airport.

6) Return to the airport and booking

The price towards the airport is the same, so a pickup from Pruszcz Gdański to Gdańsk Airport is also from 150 PLN per car. If you book both rides together and prepay them, the return ride is 10 percent off. We count your departure time back from take-off: about 2 hours at the airport before a Schengen flight, more for non-Schengen, plus about half an hour on the road. For morning flights on weekdays we add a buffer for ring road traffic; for a 6 am departure the roads are still empty and a pickup at around 3:30 is usually enough. More in when to leave for Gdańsk Airport.

Booking takes a few minutes. In the form, enter your address, date, time and flight number, the number of passengers and bags, and tick a child seat if you need one. Booking ahead is covered in how to book a Gdańsk Airport taxi in advance. Bookings less than 2 hours ahead are taken by phone or WhatsApp. You can pay by card, BLIK or cash, and companies get a VAT invoice.

In short: Pruszcz Gdański is about 22 km from Gdańsk Airport via the Tricity ring road, usually 25 to 30 minutes outside rush hour. Fixed price from 150 PLN per car for up to 3 people (+50 PLN from the 4th passenger, up to 8 in one car), no meter and no night surcharge, with pickup in the arrivals hall, flight tracking, a VAT invoice on request and 10 percent off the return ride when you prepay both trips.
