Gdańsk Airport Taxi to Karwia, Dębki and Jastrzębia Góra: Route, Time and Fixed Price
Karwia, Dębki and Jastrzębia Góra sit on the open Baltic beyond Władysławowo, about 80 to 90 km from Gdańsk Airport. All three have the same fixed price in our list: from 350 PLN (approx. 88 EUR) per car for up to 3 people. Below we explain the route, how long the drive really takes in July versus October, what is included, when a transfer beats the train and bus, and how to plan the ride back to your flight.
These three villages lie next to each other on the stretch of coast between Władysławowo and the mouth of the Piaśnica river. Unlike the beaches in the Tricity or on the bay side of the Hel Peninsula, this is the open sea: bigger waves, wide sandy beaches and pine forest right behind the dunes. Each place has its own feel, though, and it is worth knowing before you book your stay.
Jastrzębia Góra
Closest to Władysławowo, up on a high cliff. You reach the beach by stairs, the centre has a promenade with places to eat, and nearby stands the obelisk marking the northernmost point of Poland. Plenty of hotels and resorts, many open all year.
Karwia
A classic family resort with a broad beach and a gentle slope into the water. Lots of guesthouses, cabins and private rooms; busy in summer, very quiet the rest of the year.
Dębki
The westernmost of the three, at the mouth of the Piaśnica, surrounded by forest. Fewer buildings, a more laid-back atmosphere and cabins tucked between the pines. The last part of the drive is a local road through the woods.
On the way and nearby
Ostrowo, Rozewie with its lighthouse and Chłapowo are on the same road. If you are staying in one of them, give us the exact address and we confirm the price when you book.
For the transfer itself the differences are small: we take the same road via Reda and Puck to all of them and the starting price is identical. What changes is mainly the last stretch, such as the narrow streets by the promenade in Jastrzębia Góra or the forest road into Dębki.
Your driver waits in the arrivals hall of Gdańsk Lech Wałęsa Airport with a name sign and helps with your luggage. From the terminal we join the Tricity ring road and head north towards Reda. From there regional road 216 runs through Puck to Władysławowo, and then we follow the coast via Rozewie to Jastrzębia Góra, Karwia and Dębki.
- ✓ Airport to Reda: about 30 km, a quick run on the ring road and expressways around the Tricity.
- ✓ Reda, Puck, Władysławowo: the busiest part of the route; in summer this is where queues build up with traffic heading to the coast and to Hel.
- ✓ Władysławowo to Jastrzębia Góra: a few kilometres via Rozewie, the first of the three villages.
- ✓ Karwia and Dębki: further west; the final kilometres into Dębki run through forest.
In total it is about 80 to 90 km. Outside the season the drive usually takes around 1 hour 20 minutes to Jastrzębia Góra and around 1 hour 40 minutes to Dębki. At the height of summer, especially on Saturday mornings and at the start of long weekends, the section through Puck and Władysławowo can take much longer. Our drivers know the inland detours that skip the most congested part of Władysławowo, and for you only one thing matters: the price is fixed, so a jam does not change it.

With three passengers it comes to under 120 PLN each, luggage and door-to-door included. The full list of destinations is on our transfer prices page. Travelling to the seaside with small children is covered in child seats in an airport transfer, and arriving as a bigger party in group transfers from Gdańsk Airport.
This part of the coast lives by the summer holidays. From late June to the end of August the villages fill up with holidaymakers, and Polish long weekends such as early May or Corpus Christi can be just as busy. Outside the season it is a different world: empty beaches, quiet walks along the cliff and resorts hosting seniors' holidays, company retreats and sports camps.
- ✓ July and August: book the transfer together with your accommodation; Saturday, the usual changeover day, is the busiest day for rides.
- ✓ Long weekends: traffic starts building on Thursday afternoon, so for a ride back to a flight we allow more time.
- ✓ September to May: roads usually flow well, but public transport runs less often and some shops and bars close; a transfer with a grocery stop is often the easiest option.
- ✓ Late arrivals: the last evening flight is no problem; we drive around the clock with no night surcharge.
Many of our passengers fly into Gdańsk from the UK, Ireland, Norway or Germany and head straight to the coast to see family or to a rented cabin. After a flight the key thing is not to juggle changes between trains and buses. If you land at night, see also night transfers from Gdańsk Airport.
There is no single public transport link from the airport to Karwia, Dębki or Jastrzębia Góra. Going by public transport usually means a train from the airport to Gdynia, a change to a train towards Władysławowo and then a bus or minibus to the village itself.
| Option | Pros | Cons |
|---|---|---|
| Train and bus | Cheapest for one person with light luggage. | Two or three changes, suitcases on a train and a bus, few services off-season and in the evening, drop-off at a bus stop. |
| Car hire | Freedom during your whole stay. | A daily rate, parking in summer can be hard to find and paid, driving right after a flight. |
| Taxi from the rank | No booking needed. | Metered fare not known in advance, and it keeps rising in traffic. |
| Transfer | From the arrivals hall to your door, a fixed price per car, any time of day or night. | More expensive than tickets for a solo traveller. |
The simple maths: if you travel alone with a backpack and have time, public transport will be cheaper. For a family with children, a pushchair and several suitcases, one car from 350 PLN usually wins, because instead of three changes you get one ride to the door. With four to eight people the cost per head drops even further. How a fixed price differs from a meter, and why traffic never raises your bill, is explained in what a fixed-price transfer means.
The price towards the airport is the same, so a pick-up from Karwia, Dębki or Jastrzębia Góra to Gdańsk Airport is also from 350 PLN per car. Book both rides together and prepay them, and the return leg gets 10 percent off. We work out the departure time backwards from your flight: about 2 hours at the airport for a Schengen flight, more for flights outside Schengen, plus around an hour and a half on the road. On a summer Saturday or the last day of a long weekend we add extra time for traffic around Puck and Reda. Details are in our guide when to leave for Gdańsk Airport.
Booking takes a few minutes. Enter the address of your stay, the date, time and flight number, the number of passengers and bags, and tick a child seat straight away if you need one. For the summer, book early, ideally together with your accommodation; see how to book a Gdańsk Airport taxi in advance. Bookings with less than 2 hours' notice are handled by phone or WhatsApp. You can pay by card or in cash, and companies receive a VAT invoice; see airport transfer with a VAT invoice.

How long does the drive from Gdańsk Airport to Karwia and Dębki take?
Outside the summer season usually around 1 hour 20 minutes to Jastrzębia Góra and around 1 hour 40 minutes to Dębki. It is roughly 80 to 90 km via Reda, Puck and the Władysławowo area. On summer Saturdays and long weekends the drive can take noticeably longer, but the price stays the same.

Per car. The rate from 350 PLN covers a car for up to 3 people with luggage, so a full car works out at under 120 PLN each. From the 4th passenger we add 50 PLN, and one car or van takes up to 8 people. Larger groups are quoted by phone.
Will you drop me right at my guesthouse or cabin in Dębki?
Yes. The transfer ends at the address you give us: a guesthouse, an apartment, a holiday cabin or a resort. If the last stretch is a narrow forest road or a pedestrian zone, the driver gets as close as possible and helps you with the bags.
Can we stop for groceries on the way?
Yes. An extra stop along the route, for example at a supermarket in Reda or Puck, costs 30 PLN. Tick it in the booking form and we confirm the full amount before the ride. It is handy for evening arrivals, because outside the season shops in the resort villages close early.
Can I book the ride back from Karwia to Gdańsk Airport at the same time?
Yes. Tick the return transfer in the form and add the date and pick-up time. The ride to the airport costs the same, from 350 PLN per car, and the return leg gets 10 percent off if you prepay both rides. We work out the pick-up time backwards from your departure, with extra time for summer traffic.
