Who we are

Taxi Airport Gdansk is a local transfer company run by a small team of trusted drivers from the Tricity area (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia). We started in 2018 with one car and a simple rule: price agreed upfront, driver on time, customer relaxed. Six years and more than 5000 rides later — from short Gdansk Airport → Sopot transfers, through Gdynia and Elblag, to long-distance trips to Hel, Leba, Slupsk, Torun and Warsaw — that rule still pays our bills.

We are not an app and not a corporation. We do not dispatch random drivers from a platform. Every person who picks up our customer is vetted, experienced with airport transfers, and knows the difference between meeting a guest in the Arrivals hall and a 4 AM hotel pickup. Most bookings are confirmed within 30 minutes — because a human reads them, not a dynamic pricing algorithm.

Our story — from one car to 5000+ rides

Taxi Airport Gdansk was founded in 2018 in Pomerania by a 20-year veteran driver. The company started with a single car and hand-taken bookings, often in the middle of the night. Six years later he runs a small, tight team that delivers the professionalism of a corporate fleet with the flexibility of a local operator.

Part of our team previously worked in the maritime transport sector — and saw first-hand how complicated vessel crew changes can be in the Gdansk and Gdynia ports. That experience grew into our B2B crew-transport business, which we still operate today. The company operates under Polish tax ID (NIP) 9581524091, REGON 220704311, registered at ul. Tadeusza Wendy 7/9 in Gdynia — 25 minutes from the airport.

Our philosophy is simple: driver on time, price fixed upfront, phone always answered. That is why more than 70% of bookings are repeat customers or referrals — the result of six years of consistent work on real reputation, not aggressive advertising.

Driver training & certifications

Every driver behind the wheel of a Taxi Airport Gdansk car holds a valid Polish passenger transport licence (taxi / occasional passenger transport). All vehicles carry mandatory OC, AC and passenger NNW insurance.

Our fleet

We drive premium business-class cars — comfortable sedans for 1–3 passengers and spacious vans for groups up to 8 with luggage. All vehicles maintained in flawless technical and cosmetic condition, regularly serviced. All cars are non-smoking, regularly cleaned, air-conditioned, with luggage space and USB charging. For larger groups and crew transfers we also operate 9-seat minibuses.

Licenses, insurance, paperwork

We operate under Polish passenger transport law. Every driver holds a passenger transport license, and every car carries valid OC, AC and passenger NNW insurance. Each ride is confirmed by e-mail. Corporate clients receive a VAT invoice within 7 days at the latest — usually the same day.

We work with Tricity-based companies, hotels in Sopot and Gdynia, and crewing agencies (vessel crew changes in Gdansk and Gdynia ports). For recurring transfers (daily commute, weekly schedules) we prepare custom contracts with negotiated rates.

Service area

Our base is Gdansk Lech Walesa Airport (GDN), but we cover all of Pomerania and beyond. Most common directions: Tricity (Gdansk, Sopot, Gdynia), Hel Peninsula (Wladyslawowo, Jastarnia, Jurata, Hel), Kashubia, Slovincian Coast (Leba, Slupsk), Warmia-Masuria region (Olsztyn, Mikolajki). For longer trips we also transfer to Warsaw, Torun, Bydgoszcz and Szczecin.

Honest price. We never raise the price after the fact. If the quote says 180 PLN — it stays 180 PLN, even if we get stuck on the Tricity ring road for an hour. We carry the travel-time risk, not the customer.

We keep our word. Agreed on 4:30 AM — the car is at your door at 4:25. Customer's flight delayed by 2 hours — driver waits, no "parking fee". That's why people come back to us, year after year.

Local. We are from Pomerania and we work with people from Pomerania. We know every roundabout between Gdansk and Hel, we know when the Gdynia ferry leaves and when Sopot traffic peaks in summer. That kind of knowledge does not come from an app.

A calm customer is a returning customer. Most of our bookings are repeat customers — both business and leisure. We don't invest in aggressive marketing, just in making every ride simply good. Cheap, simple rule — works since 2018.
