Stutthof Museum
Private Day Tour
Just 35 km from Gdansk lies Stutthof — the first concentration camp established on Polish soil, opened in September 1939. A sobering and important historical site. Private transport, flexible timing, respectful visit at your own pace.
The Stutthof Museum from Gdansk is one of the most historically significant and sobering day trips you can make from the Tri-City area. Unlike the major concentration camp memorials further south, Stutthof is close enough to visit comfortably in a half-day — yet profound enough to leave a lasting impression. The site preserves original structures almost entirely intact: wooden prisoner barracks, the brick crematorium, a gas chamber, punishment cells, and a large permanent exhibition tracing the camp's history from its establishment to liberation.
What sets a private Stutthof memorial visit apart from any other means of getting there is the emotional weight of the place itself. There are no public transport links directly to the museum — most independent travellers struggle with connections. With private transport, you leave when you're ready, arrive directly at the entrance, and have the time and privacy to experience the site on your own terms. No rushing, no shared bus with strangers, no schedule to chase.
The Stutthof concentration camp day trip is suitable for adults and older teenagers. Families should use their own judgment regarding younger children — the site is a place of genuine historical trauma and is presented as such. A visit here is not entertainment but remembrance, and that distinction matters.
No fixed group schedule, no rush. You arrive at the time that suits you, spend as long as you need, and travel in comfort door-to-door. Can also combine with Malbork Castle in one day.
Those interested in WWII history, families paying tribute, students, researchers. The site is appropriate for adults and older teenagers.

Group tours to Stutthof are limited in frequency and typically combine the memorial with other attractions, compressing the time you actually spend at the museum. You may arrive alongside dozens of other visitors from multiple coaches, which changes the atmosphere of a place meant for quiet reflection.
A private Stutthof memorial visit means you control everything: when you leave, how long you stay, and whether you make any additional stops. Some guests visit for 90 minutes; others need three hours to take it all in. Researchers and those with family connections to the camp often want to spend considerable time in the archives or with specific parts of the exhibition. Private transport accommodates all of this without pressure.
The 700 PLN price covers the whole vehicle — up to six people. Split between a family or small group, the cost per person is modest and considerably more comfortable than any alternative. We can also combine this visit with Malbork Castle on the same day if you want to balance history with a more awe-inspiring destination — ask about our combined Stutthof and Malbork tour for the best value.
