Booking a Gdańsk Airport transfer?
Choose the payment method that suits you — card, BLIK, cash, transfer or invoice. Fixed price, SMS confirmation, driver with flight tracking.
1) Payment methods we accept

Paying for a private transfer from Gdańsk Airport is deliberately flexible, because passengers landing in the Tri-City arrive from many different countries with different habits. We accept cash in złoty and in euros, Visa and Mastercard, BLIK, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and ordinary bank transfer. You can pay the driver at the end of the ride or in advance, before you even travel — the choice is yours and it does not affect the price.

There is one key rule: the amount is fixed and known at booking. It is the exact figure we confirm by SMS or e-mail, whether you pay by card, by phone or with banknotes. There is no surcharge for a particular payment method and no "terminal fee". If you first want to understand how the fare is built, see our guide on how much a taxi from Gdańsk Airport costs.

Pay the driver

  • Visa and Mastercard (in-car terminal).
  • BLIK, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
  • Cash in złoty (PLN).
  • Cash in euros (EUR) at the agreed rate.

Pay in advance

  • Bank transfer before the ride.
  • Proforma invoice for companies.
  • Convenient for business expenses.
  • Payment confirmation by e-mail.
2) Paying the driver — card, BLIK, cash

The most popular option is to pay at the end of the ride, directly to the driver. There is a card terminal in the car, so you can easily pay by Visa or Mastercard, as well as contactless by phone with Apple Pay or Google Pay. BLIK is available too — just a code from your banking app. This is especially handy for travellers who do not want to carry cash, or who have just landed and had no time to withdraw złoty.

If you prefer cash, we accept banknotes in złoty and in euros. With large notes it is worth keeping change in mind — for very early or night rides it helps to prepare an amount close to the fare. For how rides work outside standard hours, see our guide to the night transfer from Gdańsk Airport.

Whichever method you choose, you only pay once you have reached your destination. We do not take deposits from individual passengers and do not pre-authorise your card in advance. Paying the driver simply means settling the pre-agreed, fixed amount at the moment the ride ends.

3) Paying in advance — transfer and proforma

The second route is paying before the ride. It works especially well for company expenses, group bookings, and whenever someone other than the passenger is paying — for example an administration department, a trip organiser, or a family booking a transfer for a relative. In that case we issue a proforma invoice and you settle it by ordinary bank transfer.

Once the payment is booked in, the ride is fully paid — the driver takes no further amount on the spot. This is convenient when the passenger does not want to deal with payment after a long flight, or when the transfer is part of a larger booking. For the full booking process and what to provide when ordering, see our guide on how to book a Gdańsk Airport transfer step by step.

4) Paying in euros and splitting the fare

For passengers arriving from outside Poland, the option to pay in euros matters. We accept cash in EUR at the rate agreed at booking. As a guide we use 1 EUR = 4 PLN, and the final rate is confirmed by SMS together with your booking confirmation — so you know the amount in euros before the driver arrives and avoid surprises at settlement.

If you are travelling as a group and want to split the cost, the simplest approach is to settle between yourselves and hand the driver a single, complete payment in your chosen form. The in-car terminal handles card payments, so one person can pay for the whole route and the others can pay them back conveniently by BLIK or transfer — after the ride.

Payment method Where and when Best suited to
Card / Apple Pay / Google Pay With the driver, at the end Travellers without cash, foreign visitors
BLIK With the driver, at the end Customers with a Polish account and banking app
Cash PLN / EUR With the driver, at the end Those who prefer paying in banknotes
Transfer / proforma In advance, before the ride Companies, group bookings, external payer

You will find the full price list for each route on our transfer prices page — every amount is shown as a fixed price for the ride.

5) VAT invoice — companies and individuals

We issue a VAT invoice for the transfer on request after the ride. Simply provide the buyer's tax ID (NIP) at booking and you will receive the document at the e-mail address you give us. The issuer is Taxi Airport Gdansk, NIP 9581524091, REGON 220704311. This suits companies accounting for business travel, but also private individuals who need proof of the expense.

In practice we combine the invoice with any payment method: you can pay by card or cash with the driver and still receive a VAT invoice, or — if you prefer to settle in advance — pay the transfer by bank transfer against a proforma invoice. For more on the paperwork, invoice details and accounting for company rides, see our post on Gdańsk Airport transfers with a VAT invoice.

What to prepare for the invoice

  • Buyer's tax ID (company or sole trader NIP).
  • Full name and address of the buyer.
  • E-mail address for the document.
  • !Provide the details already at booking.

When paying in advance helps

  • When a company pays, not the passenger.
  • For group and recurring bookings.
  • When you want the ride settled before the flight.
  • The proforma reaches your e-mail to pay.
6) Fixed price — what you actually pay for

Regardless of the payment method, you pay a fixed price agreed in advance at booking. We do not use a meter, so traffic, rain, the night hours or a weekend do not change the amount on the bill. That is a meaningful difference from a metered taxi — you know beforehand what you will pay, and that is exactly what you settle at the end. We expand on this in our article on the fixed-price transfer and what it means.

The fare includes the door-to-door ride, flight tracking on airport pickups and a reasonable amount of waiting time caused by a delayed flight. If there are additional, optional elements, they are known upfront at booking rather than added afterwards:

Item Cost Notes
Child seat +30 PLN (ca. 8 EUR) On request, arranged at booking
Extra stop +30 PLN (ca. 8 EUR) When the route includes another address
Van for 7–8 people individual quote Larger groups and luggage

Beyond these options there are no surcharges for traffic, night, weekend or holidays. The price shown at booking is the final price — with no hidden items on the bill.

7) Payment step by step

The whole process is simple and predictable. From booking to settlement it looks like this:

Before the ride

  • You book the transfer and pick a payment method.
  • You receive an SMS or e-mail confirmation with the fixed price.
  • If you want an invoice, you give the NIP and buyer details.
  • For advance payment you get a proforma to transfer.

After you arrive

  • You pay by card, BLIK, phone or cash with the driver.
  • Or the ride is already paid by advance transfer.
  • The VAT invoice arrives in your e-mail.
  • The amount is exactly the one from your booking confirmation.
